Elementary School Winter Concert #1 planned for today

The Fredonia Elementary School Winter Concert #1 will be presented today, Dec. 5 at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the District auditorium at 425 E. Main St., Fredonia. The concert features the Third and Fourth Grade choruses and Select Chorus.

Girl Scout Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s Saturday

Girl Scout Troop 20158 will be holding their annual Pancake Breakfast With Santa on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s Restaurant on Vineyard Drive in Dunkirk. Tickets are $6 a person and the meal includes pancakes, bacon and beverage. Call Donna Banach at 785-6180 to reserve tickets.

Be sure to bring a camera to take lots of pictures with Santa! Holiday Treats will be available for $5 a plate.

Blossom Garden Friends School to hold holiday benefit Saturday

On Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m., the Blossom Garden Friends School will host a community sing-along, piano recital, bake sale and authentic fried bread/corn soup at Collins Friends meeting, 2345 Main St., Collins. There is no admission charge, but free-will donations will be gratefully accepted. Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Knee Lakota people with heating fuel for the winter. All are asked to bring their unique singing voices.
