Christmas in the Vineyards Saturday

Christmas in the Vineyards will take place Saturday, Dec. 14, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Grape Discovery Center, 8305 West Main Road, Westfield. The event includes: Children’s Craft Corner, complimentary cookies for children, a visit with Santa and live holiday music from 1 to 3 p.m.

Festive beverages will be available for purchase, as well as unique gifts, a holiday basket raffle, and custom gift baskets are available.

Dawn Henry cancer benefit set for Saturday

On Saturday, Dec. 14 from 1 to 5 p.m., a benefit will be held for Dawn Henry at the William L. Travis Post 493 Mayville American Legion, 3 E. Marvin St. Henry has battled stage four/end stage bladder cancer and has now been newly diagnosed with metastatic bladder cancer in her liver.

The $10 donation includes dinner (pork sliders, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese) and entry into the door prize drawing. At 1 p.m., baked goods will be sold, along with chance auction tickets, 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets. Winners will be announced throughout the day.

Santa Claus coming to Forestville on Saturday

The Forestville Fall Festival Committee and the Forestville Fire Department are hosting Santa Claus at the Fire Hall, 18 Chestnut St. on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be horse-drawn wagon rides for families, hot cocoa and cookies. Children will be able to make their own ornaments.

Fredonia Farmers’ Market plans holiday celebration Saturday

This week, Dec. 14, the Fredonia Farmers’ Market will hold its annual holiday celebration. Santa will be at the Market at the Masonic Forest Lodge, 321 E Main St., Fredonia to listen to Christmas wishes and maybe read some stories about his adventures. There will be music and card-making activities for the kids. The vendors will have great foods for patrons’ holiday tables, and many lovely artisan gift ideas for loved ones. The Market is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Christmas Cheer – a December to remember. Join in for some holiday magic! Make it a December to remember for your family and a family in need by participating in the first annual operation Christmas Cheer. Unforgettable pictures with Santa are yours to cherish forever while your donation of a new toy valued at $5 or more will be cherished by a child in need of some holiday cheer. Come enjoy hot cocoa and candy canes while giving back to the community. All donated toys will be proceeded to the Salvation Army. This will take place Saturday, Dec. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 423 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

Entry is one toy per household in exchange for a professional image that will be sent to you via email.

Along with this event, players and the coach from team Brooklyn from the Salvation Army Basketball League will be there ringing the bell outside the store.

Second Saturday Uke Jam planned for Dec. 14

A Second Saturday Uke Jam will be held Dec. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Domus Fare Restaurant, 41 W. Main St., Fredonia. This is an all-ability-level jam. Strum and sing. There will be an OPEN MIC opportunity for individuals /groups involving uke.
