Chautauqua Lake group meeting set

The members of the Chautauqua Lake Protection and Rehabilitation Agency will meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the third Floor Legislature Chambers of the Gerace Office Building, 3 North Erie Street, Mayville. CLPRA was formed pursuant to Resolution 315-17 of the Chautauqua County Legislature to evaluate lake protection and rehabilitation needs, and make recommendations to the County Legislature regarding the creation of Chautauqua Lake protection and rehabilitation district(s) as may be necessary in the best interest of the people of Chautauqua County.

Pomfret town board workshop

The Pomfret town board will meet for a workshop meeting on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. at Pomfret Town Hall, 9 Day St., Fredonia.

Westfield-Ripley Kiwanis turkey

dinner set for Feb. 6

The Kiwanis Club of Westfield-Ripley will be holding its annual turkey dinner on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m., at St. Dominic Church Hall, 15 Union St., Westfield. This year’s menu will consist of generous helpings of turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing, peas, cranberry, and beverage followed by dessert. Proceeds will benefit local service projects like the Star program and sending two children to Kamp Kiwanis. The costs are $10 for adults, and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased from any Kiwanian or 326-2752 New York Life Office or Bob at 753-6098 or at the door. Take outs are available.

Old-fashioned First Friday Community Barn Dance set for Feb. 7

An old-fashioned First Friday Community Barn Dance will be held Friday, Feb. 7 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Fredonia Grange No. 1, 58 W. Main St., Fredonia. Adults are $7; students, $5, ages 12 and under free. Dances include squares, contras, mixers and more. The event is beginner-friendly and family-friendly. No experience is needed.
