Cruise-ins canceled

The Lake Shore Street Rod Association has announced that Sunday’s car cruise at the Silver Creek Fireman’s Club as well as the annual Harbor Cruise in July have both been canceled.

Paving set for Greenhurst, Swamp roads Tuesday

Jeff Feinen, the highway superintendent for the towns of Dunkirk and Sheridan has announced that Greenhurst Road in the town of Dunkirk between Roberts and Franklin roads will be closed to traffic on Tuesday for paving. Also, Swamp Road between Route 20 and Roberts Road will be closed for paving on Tuesday as well.

Repairs Tuesday for Van Buren railroad crossing Tuesday

Railroad crews will be making repairs to the Van Buren Road railroad crossing located in the town of Pomfret. Van Buren Road will be closed to all traffic at the railroad crossing on Tuesday, May 26. A detour will not be posted. Please plan on taking an alternate route.
