Road closed in Pomfret

The town of Pomfret has closed Chautauqua Road, from Concord Road to Maytum Road, for culvert replacement. The road will be closed until the project is completed.

Collins Library open for walk-up service

COLLINS — The Collins Library, 2341 Main St., Collins, is open for walk-up service from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Free Wi-Fi is available at the building 23 hours a day, seven days a week. To use walk-up service, call 532-5129 with a library card and items to check out. The staff finds the items and arranges a time for them to be picked up. Any library materials can be put in the drop box at any time. CARTS operating on regular schedule

The Chautauqua Area Regional Transit System announced that regular weekday service, including all city and rural routes, will be operating on its regular schedules effective today. “CARTS is excited to reinstate full weekday services for its public transportation system as the County is expected to go into Phase III,” said Brad Bentley, director of Public Facilities for Chautauqua County. “Please remember facemasks or face coverings must be worn while on the CARTS bus as per the Governor’s executive order.” For more information or to schedule a trip, call CARTS at 1-800-388-6534, 665-6466 or 366-4500.

St. Joseph and St. Anthony resume masses on weekend

St. Joseph and St. Anthony Churches in Fredonia will be resuming public masses this weekend (June 20-21) according to their regular schedules. Masses at St. Joseph Church are Sundays at 8 and 11:15 a.m. Masses at St. Anthony Church are Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. In addition, mass will continue to be livestreamed Sundays on the St Joseph Fredonia channel on YouTube, but at the new 8 a.m. time. A recording of the mass will also be available to watch later. Details and a livestream link may be found at stjosephfredonia.org.
