Kiwanis plans Silver Creek Halloween happening

SILVER CREEK — Kiwanis of Silver Creek will hold its annual Halloween parade on Saturday at 5 p.m. Children will start at the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire department and end in the village park where a mini trunk or treat will be held. Access Chautauqua Programming set

Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will have Ryan Calalesina discussing solar energy. The program is aired and streamed on Facebook live at 9 a.m. and then repeats at 2 and 8 p.m. Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots. All programming starts on Saturday, Oct. 31, with the final airing on Friday, Nov. 6. Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on cable channel 1301. The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s website at accesschautauquacountytv.org.

County Board of Elections moves polling site

The Chautauqua County Board of Elections announces that out of concerns for the COVID-19 sensitive population at the Steger Apartments, there will be voting Nov. 3 at the Clarion Hotel, 30 Lake Shore Drive East, Dunkirk. Voters who normally vote at the Steger Apartments live in Ward 1 District 1 and Ward 4 District 1 in the city of Dunkirk. All voters are being mailed a notice of the poll site change and signage will be placed at the Steger Apartments directing voters on Election Day to the Clarion.

Collins seniors announce events

Collins 50 Plus Seniors have announced the coming events for this week. They include:

¯ Today and Friday– Exercises with Pat at 10 a.m., L.K. Painter Center gym

¯ Today — Games and crafts, 1 p.m., L.K. Painter Center Rose Room; Senior Bowling at 1 p.m. in K&L Lanes in Gowanda. There is a fee.

¯ Thursday — Yoga with Caroline , 10 a.m., L.K. Painter Center gym. There is a fee.
