Collins 50 Plus Seniors announce activities

COLLINS — The Jan. 10 through 15 activity schedule for the Collins 50 Plus Seniors includes:

Sunday, Jan. 10: Pickle Ball at 6:30 p.m. at the L.K. Painter Center gym.

Monday, Jan. 11: Exercises with Pat at 10 a.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym.

Tuesday, Jan. 12: Active Senior Aerobics with Kim at 9 a.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym for a small fee.

Wednesday, Jan. 13: Exercises with Pat at 10 a.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym; games and crafts with Pat at 1 p.m. in the Painter Center Rose Room; and senior bowling at 1 p.m. in the K & L Lanes in Gowanda (with a small fee for bowling).

Thursday, Jan. 14: Yoga with Caroline at 10 a.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym for a small fee; Pickle Ball at 1 p.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym.

Friday, Jan. 15: Toning with Kim at 9 a.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym for a small fee; Exercises with Pat at 10 a.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym.

The Collins 50 Plus Seniors are offering a new class – “Toning with Kim” – which will be scheduled every Friday morning at 9 a.m.

Senior Center of Dunkirk welcomes new year

The new members of the Senior Center of Dunkirk Board of Directors were installed on Tuesday, Jan. 5. The new officers are President Pat Kibbe, Vice President Carol Ahlstrom, Secretary Lorrie Pitts and Treasurer Molly Ganey.

Tai Chi for beginners will start on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 3:30 p.m. and advanced class will be at 3 p.m. Starting on Monday, Jan. 11 there will be exercise classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m.

Sign-ups have started for the January birthday lunch, which will be on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

A bottle cap contest has started. Come down to the Center to find out about the rules.

Post 62 monthly meeting tonight

Dunkirk Memorial American Legion Post 62 monthly meeting will be held today, Jan. 6, at 7:30 p.m. Dues for 2021 are being accepted and can be paid either at the Post, mailed to 211 Central Avenue, or online at mylegion.org.

Chicken Wing Nite at the Post is every Thursday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
