Fredonia Food Pantry open Jan. 16

On Saturday, Jan. 16, The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. until noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.

Portland fire board to meet on Monday

PORTLAND — The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Portland Fire District will hold the annual reorganization meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, which will be immediately followed by their regular meeting. In compliance with the current COVID-19 practices, if any member of the public wishes to attend, masks and proper social distancing will be required.”

Legion Squadron 59 meets Tuesday

The Son’s of American Legion Squadron 59 will be holding its monthly meeting Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. at Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia. All members are encouraged to attend meetings, which are held on the second Tuesday of every month.

NCCC Ladies Auxiliary cancels meeting

The Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club Ladies Auxiliary will not meet for the month of January due to the ongoing pandemic.

Willow Mission open Monday for food

Willow Mission at 601 Washington Ave., Dunkirk, will reopen on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for distribution of food only. Please use the parking lot door and wear a mask. No ID is required. It will be open again on Monday, Jan. 25, for food distribution only and will continue to be open for food every second and fourth Monday of each month.
