City school forum on COVID today

A community forum will take place today regarding COVID-19 in the Dunkirk City School District. It can be viewed on Facebook Live with a link also available on the district website, dunkirkcsd.org starting at 5:30 p.m.

The forum will focus on health and safety in the school and community during the pandemic. Panelists will present information and take questions from board members, community members, parents, students and staff.

The panelists will include: Lisa Barone, director of infection control and employee health at Brooks-TLC Hospital System; Nichole Dispense, School 7 nurse; and Julie Lawrie, Dunkirk Middle School nurse.

Staff, parents, students and community members are encouraged to submit questions for the panelists prior to the forum. Questions may be submitted via email to the following address: covid19forum@g.dunkirkcsd.org.

Pomfret Town Hall closed due to COVID

POMFRET — The Pomfret Town Hall is closed to the public due to COVID-19 until further notice. All Pomfret correspondence is to be mailed to town of Pomfret, 9 Day St., Fredonia, NY 14063or placed in the locked and secured drop box in front of the Pomfret Town Hall.

Library sets annual meeting

SILVER CREEK — The Anderson-Lee Library will hold its annual meeting at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25. The meeting will be at the Library which is located at 43 Main St. The public is invited to attend.

Masks are mandatory and COVID safety protocols will be in place.
