Blood drive set Monday

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Parish, 324 Townsend St., Dunkirk. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements. Fredonia Food Pantry to be open

On Saturday, Feb. 20, the Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. until noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. The number of bags given out depends on family size.

Drive-through spaghetti dinner set

St. Rose of Lima will hold a drive-through spaghetti dinner Saturday, Feb. 20, from 2-6 p.m., at 11 Center St., Forestville. The cost is $10 and includes red sauce spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. Those interested are asked to call 934-2233 or 965-2493 on the day of the event.

Conservation District board meeting moved

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District board meeting has been changed to Feb. 24 at Bemus Point United Methodist Church, 4954 Bemus-Ellery Road, Bemus Point. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. Call the district at 664-2351, ext. 102, or email Chaut-Co@soilwater.org to attend so that attendance numbers can be recorded and attendees can be provided with COVID-19 safety protocol meeting guidelines, the room location and parking instructions.
