Murray Post plans dinner, election of officers

The John T. Murray Post 1017 recently held its monthly meeting. The meeting was called to order by President Pat Rabb. The minutes were read by Robin Richmond and approved. Pat Kibbe read the treasurer’s report, which was filed subject to audit.

The members were reminded of the items that everyone is to bring for the upcoming meatloaf dinner. The dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. March 24 at the John T. Murray Post, 111-113 Deer St., Dunkirk. A donation of $10 includes salad, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable, and dessert. The meal will be take-out only. Pre-sale tickets are available at the post.

Members gave their reports, as year-end reports are due by April 1.

The next meeting will be held April 12 at 6. p.m., with election of officers. Note the date change. Any member who is unable to attend that meeting and would like to hold an office is asked to send a letter to Pat Rabb, 10508 Bradigan Road, Forestville N.Y., 14062 before April 12.

The meeting was closed according to ritual.

Mayville Seniors hold off meetings

Although the Mayville Senior Citizens are anxious to meet soon, the group will have to wait until state restrictions have been lifted. State restrictions are still in place that do not allow groups of any large numbers to meet indoors in one spot. Hopefully, when more people are vaccinated and the numbers of persons getting infected with COVID-19 have gone down, these restrictions will ease.
