Drive-through barbecue is Sunday

WESTFIELD — Westfield American Legion Post is sponsoring a drive-through chicken barbecue on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. or until its gone. Presale tickets are available at the bar. The dinner includes a half chicken, tuna macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans, a roll and butter.

Clean Up Cassadaga is Saturday

Village Residents are encouraged to bring their “junk” to the village barn on 288 Maple Ave. any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This service is provided as part of the village of Cassadaga’s new comprehensive plan.

Residents are also asked to please take a walk up and down their street and pick up any trash that may have accumulated over the winter.

Regular household garbage is not accepted. Appliances, electronics, and tires will not be accepted but may be taken to the Chautauqua County Landfill for a small fee. Hazardous waste (paint, oil and batteries) will not be accepted but can be taken to Dunkirk on June 12, Mayville on July 17, or Falconer on Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on their Hazardous Disposal Days.

County Parks Commission members to meet

Members of the Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet via Zoom at 4 p.m. Thursday. The meeting will be streamed live on the Chautauqua County Government Facebook page. Contact Judy Hunt at judithhunt1@aol.com to be included in the meeting.

County IDA board to meet April 27

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10 a.m. April 27 via live stream on YouTube instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person. Members of the public may view the board meeting by visiting YouTube and searching “County of Chautauqua IDA”. Once on the webpage, viewers can click on “videos” to watch the live stream. Minutes of the board meeting will transcribed and posted on the agency’s website, once approved by the board. The agenda for this meeting will be posted at ccida.com under “News” and “Agenda” prior to the start of the meeting.
