Findley Lake is site of vaccine clinic today

FINDLEY LAKE — Univera Healthcare and Kinney Drugs, in conjunction with the Chautauqua County Department of Health, will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic today from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Mina-Findley Lake Community Center, 2883 North Road, Findley Lake. All state residents ages 18 and older may attend. Appointments are required and can be made online at kinneydrugs.as.me/Univera-ChautauquaCounty. Attendees must be prepared to show identification and a health insurance card. Univera Healthcare is the first area health insurer to host a vaccine clinic in Chautauqua County. The nonprofit health plan is headquartered in Buffalo and has a Chautauqua County office on West Third Street in Jamestown. Kinney Drugs operates a chain of 96 full-service drug stores located throughout New York and Vermont.

Collins 50 Plus Seniors announce activities

COLLINS — The May 2 to 7 activity schedule for the Collins 50 Plus Seniors includes:

¯ Sunday, May 2: Pickle Ball at 6 p.m. in the L.K. Painter Center gym or Collins Town Park.

¯ Monday, May 3: Exercises with Pat at 10 a.m. in the Painter Center gym.

¯ Tuesday, May 4: Active Senior Aerobics with Kim at 9 a.m. in the Painter Center gym for a small fee.

¯ Wednesday, May 5: Exercises with Pat at 10 a.m. in the Painter Center gym; Quilting w/Florence at 10 a.m. in the Painter Center Community Room; Games & Crafts w/Pat at 1 p.m. in the Painter Center Rose Room.

¯ Thursday, May 6: Pickle Ball at 11 a.m. in the Painter Center gym or Collins Town Park.

¯ Friday, May 7: Exercises with Pat at 10 a.m. in the Painter Center gym.

Revitalize Dunkirk Inc. cleans up on Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day members of Revitalize Dunkirk Inc. spent a few hours on April 24 picking up trash in downtown Dunkirk. Volunteers focused on Central Avenue, Lake Shore Drive, Third Street, Washington Avenue, and the City Pier. Due to COVID-19 the event consisted of members-only, unlike previous years where residents were invited.

Dessert Auction in Silver Creek on Sunday

SILVER CREEK — A dessert auction will be held Sunday, May 2, in Silver Creek. At 4 p.m., bidding starts at Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church for delightfully and deliciously designed donated desserts.

Funds raised will help Knights Youth and Kingdom Kids spend a week learning about Christ and adventure camping this summer. Baked goods will be accepted at the Church Conference Room, from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday morning (ENTRANCE A).

Judges include Tammy from Creekside Cafe and Bakery in Silver Creek. King and Queen “Best Bakers” award for best looking desserts: creative design & presentation. Call Barb at the office at 934-3725 or text Kathryn at 934-8989 for more information.
