Date of VFW walk

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek VFW’s Auxiliary Stop22 walk event that was tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 9 has been moved to the following week, and will now take place on Saturday, Oct. 16.

Registration for the walk remains at 9 a.m., with the walk itself starting at 10 p.m.

The walk itself will have a length of 22 minutes, and will start at the Silver Creek VFW, and go across the street to the Village park, to the Village ballfields where a little over a lap will be done before walking back to the Village Park where the walk will end. Registration for the event costs $1.

Parks Commission is Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its monthly meeting Thursday in the upstairs conference room at the Falconer DPS garage at 454 North Work St. in Falconer at 4 p.m.

The public is invited to attend.

Club Associates meets Sunday

The Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates will hold its first meeting of the season, Sunday, September 26, 10:30 A.M. at the Sheridan VFW, Route 20 in Sheridan. All COVID protocols will be followed.
