At 6:30 p.m., the library, 40 S. Portage St., Westfield, will host author Robin Albright for a discussion of her book “Jump on the Runnin’ Board,” which is a memoir of her father, an man scarred by the Great Depression and WWII, and their relationship over the course of si decades.

Chautauqua County American Legion Auxiliary meeting

Chautauqua County American Legion Auxiliary meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. at the John W. Rogers Post 327 in Westfield. Members are reminded to have a unit representative attend to report 2022 Girls State quotas; donated coffee items will be collected for the UCAN drive for Homeless Veterans; and coupons are appreciated for the overseas troops. Eighth District Auxiliary President Ann Baglio will be a distinguished guest. Members are encouraged to attend and welcome our guest at her county visit.

1891 Fredonia Opera House presents Live at the Met: “Boris Godunov”

Conductor Sebastian Weigle leads Mussorgsky’s masterwork, in its original 1869 version, sung in Russian with English subtitles. General Admission is $20, $18 Opera House members, $10 students.

Silver Creek Assembly of God Gospel concert

Silver Creek Assembly of God church, 1385 Route 20, will host a Gospel concert featuring recording artist Petrice (Beck) Neyman at 7 p.m. Her spirit-filled albums will be released for sale after the concert. This event is open to all who wish to come and be blessed. Refreshments will be served after the performance.

Trinity Episcopal Church Women’s rummage sale Trinity Episcopal Church Women will be holding a shortened Covid-aware rummage sale in Garland Hall, which is located at the back of the church on 11 Day St. Fredonia. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Masks covering nose and mouth will be required for entry. There will be no clothes for sale this year.

Stop22 Awareness walk of suicide rate of veterans

The walk is hosted by the Silver Creek VFW, with proceeds benefiting the Homeless Veteran Project. The $1 registration begins at 9 a.m., with the walk starting at 10.

Apple Butter Festival

The West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 E. Route 20, will host its Apple Butter Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Old-fashioned kettle cooked apple butter is available for a donation. There will be food vendors and other vendors. Profits will benefit Nina’s Kitchen Brocton-Portland Food Pantry. Admission is free. All are welcome.

Fredonia Food Pantry

The Fredonia Food Pantry, Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave., will be open from 10 a.m, to noon. The pantry serves the needs of Fredonia area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.

1891 Fredonia Opera House, 1 p.m. General Admission $15, $10 Students. Directo Phil Grabsky reveals an exhibition of 200 of Raphael’s works displayed in Rome and gives historical perspective. ALL patrons are asked to wear masks when attending Opera House events.

St. John’s United Church of Christ Swiss steak dinner

The Northern Chautauqua Catholic School will hold a drive-through Weidner’s chicken barbecue at Holy Trinity Church, 1032 Central Ave., Dunkirk from noon to 3 p.m. The menu is grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. COVID vaccination clinic

A drive-through vaccination clinic will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Chautauqua Lake Central School bus garage, 100 N. Erie St., Mayville. No appointments are needed, but pre-registration is available. Bring proper ID and wear a mask. Don’t bring pets.

St. Joseph’s bingo

Villenova Burial Association annual fall meeting
