VFW flea market today, Saturday

SHERIDAN — A flea market will be at the VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20, Sheridan from 4 to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The VFW will be sponsoring a holiday fund raiser and “Thank You Community” during the Lake Shore Flea Market.

There will be a 50-50 drawing. Half of the funds will support the veterans and half will be awarded to one lucky winner. Chances are $1 each or eight for $5 and the cash will benefit the VFW.

The VFW says “thank you” to all those fish fry supporters. The VFW Post was voted to the top five best fish fries in the OBSERVER and Post-Journal “Best of the Best” contest! While browsing and shopping at the flea market, please fill out a ticket to win two free fish dinners. No purchase is necessary for the free dinners. The lucky winner of the 50-50 and free fish fries will be drawn on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. You do not have to be present to win.

In addition to the flea market, there will be a Friday night fish fry and Saturday breakfast and lunch served by the VFW.

Breakfast menu: Danish, breakfast sandwiches on homemade biscuits, fresh brewed coffee. Lunch menu: Homemade soup of the week, pizza and wings.

The VFW offers a full service bar for a variety of beverages – bloody Mary’s a specialty!

Come support our veterans. Shop for great holiday gifts and enjoy a delicious meal.
