Rummage sale planned May 3, 4

SOUTH DAYTON — After a nearly two-year hiatus, there will again be a rummage sale at the South Dayton Fire Activity Hall. It will be Friday May 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a bag sale Saturday at noon and a bake sale both days. Proceeds will benefit the Wesley Community Church and South Dayton Food Pantry. If you have questions about volunteering or donating, you can call Jenny at 716-410-1737.

American Legion Post 59 will be holding nominations on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia. Post Commander Denise Puskar announced the special meeting for nominations.

Monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of month at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in joining is welcome.

Family breakfast set for Sunday

Forest Lodge 166 F&AM will be holding its monthly Sunday Family Breakfast on April 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This all-you-can-eat breakfast will consist of eggs made to order, pancakes or French Toast, sausages, Fruit Cocktail, Juice, Milk, Coffee, and Tea. Adults and teenagers 13 and up $11, Children 5-12, $6. Kids under 5 are free. This breakfast is open to the public, and everyone is welcome and cordially invited to attend.

Anyone with interests in, or has questions about Free Masonry will be given a tour of the building at the asking. Forest Lodge is located at 321 E. Main St., Fredonia. During this month’s breakfast, Girl Scout Troop 20106 will be selling Girl Scout cookies from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Lodge.

Cleanup Day planned for Villenova

VILLENOVA — The Villenova Burial Association announces that the Villenova Cemetery Spring Cleanup Day will be on Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m. with a rain date of Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at the Villenova Cemetery, Cemetery Road, South Dayton. Members and volunteers are needed to help clear tree branches and rake and clear winter debris to ready the Cemetery for mowing season. Bring your own rakes, tools and gloves, water and Super Duper doughnuts will be provided. Please join us, and bring a friend.
