Board to meet

WESTFIELD – The Westfield Village Board of Trustees has scheduled a village board meeting to be held on Monday, April 29, at 7 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall to review and potentially approve the Utility Fund Budgets (Electric, Water & Sewer) for the 2024-25 budget year.

Fredonia road

work starts Monday

Road construction will begin Monday on White Street and Center Street from Main Street to Barker Street in the village of Fredonia. There will be no on street parking. Expect delays while work is being completed. It is encouraged to find an alternate route if possible.

Church planning

rummage sale

Spring is here! Time to renew the annual hunts for great bargains. You can

begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. in Garland Hall, behind Trinity Episcopal Church on 11 Day St., Fredonia, when the Trinity Church Women will be holding their semi-annual rummage sale.

As always this is a clean sale with all items ready to be used and enjoyed by you the new owners. So many treasures await. There are always kitchen items, some small electronics, linens, holiday decorating items, summer clothes, purses, And — because we haven’t gotten all the donated items in yet to say for sure but — maybe small furniture pieces, books,

jewelry, children’s toys, books, clothes and gardening items.

All items are reasonably priced and any funds generated are used for community service projects.

Trinity United Church

of Christ free

community meal

GOWANDA — The Trinity United Church, located at Erie Avenue and Park Street, will host a take-out only free community meal at the Park Street entrance on Saturday, May 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. or gone. The menu is pork and sauerkraut, au gratin potatoes,vegetable, bread and a cookie. Free will donations are appreciated but not necessary. Drive East Main to Railroad Avenue and then down Park Street, following the signs, or walk up. Everyone is welcome. The next meal is June 8.
