SHERIDAN — There will be a special meeting of the Town Board on Wednesday at 7 p.m. to set the date and times for a public hearing on the 2025 budget, a public hearing on the fire protection district, and to adopt the final order and bond resolution for the formation of Water District 4.
Chautauqua Rails
to Trails Annual Meeting
MAYVILLE — The Board of Directors of Chautauqua Rails to Trails will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Olive’s Restaurant space at Chautauqua Suites.
General members are welcome at the gathering; and as always, board meetings are open to the public. Installation of officers for the next year is on the agenda. Other important issues such as realization of the Ellicott Road trail project in Brocton, trail stewards, monitoring unwanted ATV and motor vehicle use, repair of needy culverts, controlling illegal trespassing signage, and other matters will be discussed.
As trail supporters gather, a cash bar will be available. Casual food will be provided by the organization for all attendees. For more information, call 716-753-2800 or 716-485-6677.

gather for Seahawks game
The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will watch the Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks game on Sunday at the First Ward Falcon Club in Dunkirk.Snacks will be provided. Members may bring a food item to pass but it is not required.Game time is 4:05 p.m.
Church plans craft,
vendor show Nov. 2
The Fredonia First Methodist Church is holding its second annual craft and vendor show on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Crafters include glass and slate articles, plastic canvas bookmarks and Christmas decorations, Tupperware, ornaments, soaps and greeting cards, pottery, handmade Japanese accessories, photography, book art and metal signs, wall hangings.
Ronnie Lafferty (best known for her Sunflower Blossoms that were featured at Buffalo Garden Tour 2018) will be displaying some of her paintings, prints and note cards. Chicken barbecue
Sunday in Sinclairville
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Co. will be hosting its final chicken barbecue this Sunday from noon until sold out. Meals consist of half chicken, scalloped potatoes, applesauce, cookie, and roll, for $15. Beverages are available for those who wish to dine in. There will also be half chickens available for $8 each. Parking is available behind the fire hall.
Ukulele group gathers tonight
Fredonia Ukulele will take place at Coughlan’s Pub, 47 W. Main St., Fredonia, from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Fredonia Ukulele is for players of all experience levels, but begins with “Beginners and Brush Up” so newbies can start to learn. New chords are added every few songs. The goal is to have fun and to make music. Ukuleles are provided or bring your own — play, sing, or just enjoy listening. Come and go as you please.
