Silver Creek Hanover Garden

Club plans annual Garden Faire

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Silver Creek Hanover Garden Club will hold its 15th annual Garden Faire on Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Village Square from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event features a plant sale, artisan crafts, a planting activity for kids, garden decor, food vendors, vendor raffles and local organizations. Check in for a free raffle at the gazebo.

Villenova Cemetery

Spring Clean-up Day May 3

VILLENOVA – The Villenova Burial Association announces that the Villenova Cemetery Spring Clean-up Day will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. Rain date is Saturday, May 10, at 10 a.m. The cemetery is located on Cemetery Road, South Dayton.

Members and volunteers are needed to help clear tree branches and rake and clear winter debris to ready the Cemetery for mowing season. Bring your own rakes, tools and gloves. Water and Super Duper donuts will be provided.

Gowanda Pine Hill

Cemetery meeting scheduled

The Annual Meeting for Gowanda Pine Hill Cemetery is scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m. in the cemetery.

The rain location is the Board Room at Gowanda Village Hall. The public is cordially invited and will be offered an opportunity to provide comments at the beginning of the meeting. Please bring your own lawn chair.

Church holding all-you-can-eat breakfast

RIPLEY – The Ripley United Methodist Church, located at 84 W. Main St., is holding an all-you-can-eat community breakfast on Saturday, May 10, from 8-11 a.m. Cost is $10. Breakfast items include pancakes, eggs, biscuits with sausage gravy, homefries, coffee and juice.

Sinclairville Book Club

to meet in Cassadaga

A new chapter of the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle book club is opening with a reading circle hosted by Erin Gray in partnership with the Sinclairville Free Library. The book club will meet in person at 3 Lakes Café in Cassadaga to discuss books from the CLSC book list. The first meeting will be held on Saturday, May 31, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Café discussing The Queens of Crime: A Novel by Marie Benedict. Copies of this title are available for checkout with a valid library card at the Sinclairville Free Library.

Cemetery annual meeting set

The Arkwright Summit Cemetery will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. May 21 at the James Prince residence, 2070 Route 83, Forestville. All interested are welcome. For information contact 716-467-0886.
