Brush pick-up planned for Monday

The village of Fredonia will be picking up limbs and yard waste beginning Monday at 7 a.m. Collection will continue until every village street has been completed. Bags and brush are collected separately by different crews. All items for collection must be at the curb no later than 7 Monday morning. In no case will there be a repeat collection of areas completed.

All yard waste must be bagged or in barrels. The village encourages biodegradable bags or barrels and limbs and brush must be tied with twine.

Limbs and brush must be cut no longer than 4 feet in length with bundles being no larger than 18 inches in diameter. Bundles and bags are limited to 65 pounds in weight. There is no collection of loose material, including leaves.

Residents are reminded they can bring yard waste to 176 Eagle St. No bags or containers shall be left behind.

Rubber duck event set for Saturday

CASSADAGA — Help us find our rubber ducks! Join the library for a free fun family event on Saturday between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cassadaga Library Branch of the Seymour Libraries. Sign up the day of the event and meet Waddles, the famous Cassadaga Duck. Rubber Ducks have gone out into the wilds of Cassadaga.

Help the library keep track of them by taking pictures with them on your phone and uploading them to a folder. Photos do not have to include anyone’s face. We may use your photos on our socials if you sign the release.

Every child that completes the Scavenger Hunt will get to pick a prize.

Ice cream event Aug. 23

STOCKTON — There will be a free ice cream event at the Mary E. Seymour Memorial Libraries branch on Saturday, Aug. 23 from noon to 2 p.m. This is a free event featuring cones and sundaes for participants.
