Since 2017 or so, a cartoon has made the rounds right around New Year’s Eve. Two critters stand on the calendar date, and one says to the other, “What will the next year bring?” “Flowers,” they reply. “How can you be so sure?” “Because I am planting seeds.” In these times it can be so hard to see the consequences of our actions, or to feel like what we do has any importance. Through story, song, and flower bulbs, today’s service will hold space for the faith that while what we do now might not feel so impactful, it contains the seeds of a better world.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua strives to be a vibrant, welcoming, multigenerational, diverse community enlivened by the power of radical love. For more information, visit the website at www.uucnc.org or call at 716-679-7944.
