Sheridan
auxiliary talks upcoming plans
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan VFW Auxiliary, Post 6390 met Monday at the post. After a reading of the minutes from our last meeting and the treasurer’s report the group discussed buying a flag for the post. This flag celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States which occurs this year. All agreed to do this.
It was also reported on another successful bake sale this month. The auxiliary is not doing a bake sale in March but will hold one in April. A Health and Happiness donation was added to the standing rules. This donation is done each July. The auxiliary is working on getting more candy bars to sell at the club. The President will attend the state conference on March 28. It was announced that the New Horizons band will be play on July 23 at the Town of Sheridan building. The auxiliary will do hot dogs for this event which is part of the 250th anniversary celebration. It is possible to have a table in the building promoting the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary. The group has just accepted a new member and is always looking for people who would like to be part of our auxiliary. If interested, contact Beckie Ross at rebecca.huberross@gmail.com
