Spring Flea Market planned

The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society will be hosting its annual Spring Flea Market in the Blessed Mary Angela (St. Hyacinth) Lyceum on Pangolin Street and Lake Shore Drive East to raise funds to help with the rising costs of heating St. Hyacinth Church.

The event will be starting on Thursday and concluding after the 7 a.m. Mass on Sunday.

Hours are: Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to noon; Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon featuring a $1 bag sale and immediately after the 4 p.m. Mass until 6 p.m. and closing after the Sunday 7 a.m. Mass.

Everything is priced to sell and no reasonable offer will be refused. So come visit the Blessed Angela Parish volunteers as we try to “Heat the Church.”

Chicken barbecue this Sunday

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School is hosting a Weidner’s Chicken Barbecue this Sunday, March 22 from noon to 4 p.m. The event is drive-through only and will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Central Avenue, Dunkirk.

Tickets, which are $15 each, are available at the NCCS office between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. or at the Holy Trinity church office. Presale tickets are guaranteed until 3:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit NCCS.

Brocton-Portland Seniors to meet March 31

BROCTON — The Brocton-Portland Seniors first meeting for 2026 will be March 31 at a new location at 110 W. Main St. in the Brocton American Legion with social time starting at 10 a.m. The meeting will be at 10:45 and the luncheon will begin at 11:30.

Fifteen students from Brocton Central School Band will be partake of the luncheon and entertain under their Director Brian Hornbuckle. Members are to bring a generous dish to share with personal table service.

Green and White theme of the day for photo booth $1 each, tables for raffles and door prizes. The next meeting will be April 28 and members must be signed up by April 21 by calling Margaret Jagoda at 716-792-7385 with a choice of beef or shredded pork.

New officers are President Anita Calcaterra, Vice President Tom DeJoe, Secretary Ruth Neal and Treasurer Judy Moffatt are the committee for theTuesday, March 31 meeting. Dues are required.

Library planning Easter Egg Hunt

CASSADAGA — The Seymour Cassadaga Library branch is planning to have an Easter Egg Hunt adventure on Saturday, March 28.

Families may arrive as early as 10 a.m. for regular library services. There will be an activity at 11, and the egg hunt begins at noon.

Children will be sorted by age, so the younger children have the opportunity to start first. Some eggs will hold candy; others will hold surprises or tokens for special prizes.
