Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Nov. 18 with 19 in attendance. President Randy Nurmi opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and all singing God Bless America. The members enjoyed pizza, goulash and desserts. Historical Society Giving Presentation Tonight MAYVILLE – Thursday at 7 p.m. Wendy Lewellen will be giving the Chautauqua Town Historical Society’s November talk. Lewellen is secretary of Chautauqua Rails to Trails and author of Good Soles: Chautauqua Rails to Trails, Namesakes and Trailblazers. Lewellen will touch on the history of trails in the area, and discuss the development of the CR2T system over the past 30 years. Most of the system’s segments are named for individuals. VFW hosting Thanksgiving dinner SHERIDAN — The VFW Memorial Post 6390 in Sheridan, NY is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner. If you are alone, have a small gathering or just prefer not to cook, come join us for a homemade Thanksgiving meal.
