Wdowiasz proclaims disability employment awareness month Dunkirk Mayor Kate Wdowiasz has proclaimed October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month in the city. The month “celebrates the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities and raises awareness about the value of a workforce inclusive of their skills and talents,” according to Wdowiasz’s proclamation. Club Associates meet in Sheridan SHERIDAN — The Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates held its regular meeting in Sheridan at the VFW post 6390. Joe Granata Quarter Master of the post welcomed the large group. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence for all deceased members.
