SUNY announces partnership with Spelling Bee

As part of its commitment to celebrate learning and academic achievement in WNY, SUNY Fredonia, with the support of the Fredonia College Foundation, is proud to announce it is an official 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee regional partner to give local students and schools the opportunity to participate in America’s longest-running educational competition. As the exclusive regional partner for Western New York, SUNY Fredonia will sponsor the regional spelling bee competition held on campus on March 14. Benefit dinner planned Saturday in city A chicken and biscuits dinner to benefit the Cattaraugus/Chautauqua District of the Order of the Eastern Star will be Saturday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at St. John's Church, 733 Central Ave., in Dunkirk. This fundraiser will help the organization's charitable and community service efforts.
