Rally to focus on rights of women A rally will be at the Barker Common gazebo in Fredonia on Saturday at noon. The theme of the rally will be the Rights and Plights of Women. COI director comments on city issue Diane Hewitt-Johnson, chief executive officer of Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. offered a statement regarding the Dunkirk Common Council comments regarding a homeless individual. “(Councilwoman) Natalie Luczkowiak’s statements were her own and not made at the direction of COI nor do they reflect the values or mission of COI,” she said in an email. Free church dinner Saturday GOWANDA – Trinity United Church of Christ, located at 30 Erie Avenue, Gowanda, is holding a free church dinner on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. or until the food is gone.
