3 new COVID-19 cases reported; 511 in quarantine/isolation

Three new COVID-19 cases were reported Monday, bringing the total in Chautauqua County to 179. The new cases, according to the county Health Department, involve a person under the age of 18, a man in his 50s and a man in his 70s.

There remains 37 active cases for those who continue to recover under orders from local health officials.

In all, 511 county residents are under quarantine/isolation. Not all of those being monitored are confirmed to have COVID-19 but have either shown symptoms, are awaiting results, or have risk factors.

To date there have been 135 recoveries, seven deaths and 18,158 negative test results.
