Over three days, Cattaraugus County has logged 102 COVID-19 cases and one death.

That’s the word from the county’s Health Department, which on Saturday noted 34 new infections. In addition, a 24th death due to COVID-19 related complications was announced late Friday. “She was a 93 year old female who developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome her illness despite aggressive medical treatment,” the department said. “We extend our deepest condolences to her family and the entire Cattaraugus County community.”

While Chautauqua County’s Health Department only reports the new infections on weekends, Cattaraugus County offered a full update. As of Saturday, there were

283 active cases with 18 currently hospitalized. There have been 522 recoveries and 829 total cases.
