Health Dept. records 49 new COVID cases locally

The county Health Department reported 49 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Friday through Sunday. There have been 210 cases recorded locally since Aug. 1. Of the new cases, 25 came from the Jamestown zip code; five in Silver Creek and Falconer; two each in Dunkirk, Fredonia and Westfield; and one each in Forestville, Ashville, Bemus Point, Findley Lake, Frewsburg, Kennedy, Lakewood and Sinclairville. Legislators propose bill allowing children to receive coronavirus vaccines at pharmacy

As federal regulators and drug makers work on a COVID-19 vaccine for children, a state legislator wants to be ready to widely administer that vaccine. S.7320 would not require a COVID-19 vaccination for children.
