Jamestown man charged after punching woman, stabbing two men
JAMESTOWN — A Jamestown man who allegedly punched a woman and stabbed two men during a domestic dispute Tuesday is facing a host of charges.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department were called to a Johnson Street home around 6 p.m. for a reported assault.
It was learned that 29-year-old Demetrius K. Goldsmith had allegedly struck a woman in the nose, which led to an altercation between the city man and two of the woman’s relatives. During the altercation, Goldsmith then allegedly stabbed the two men with a knife, causing injuries to both.
Goldsmith, who was reportedly violating an order of protection during the incident, was jailed on charges of aggravated criminal contempt, third-degree assault, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree assault.
