Sherman man facing burglary, child endangerment charges

A 20-year-old Sherman man who allegedly threatened two juveniles with a firearm is facing burglary and child endangerment charges.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies received word Monday around 5 p.m. of a burglary at a West Main Street residence in Sherman. An investigation found that Taylor M. Tripp allegedly forced his way into the property “and while inside the residence threatened two juvenile males with a firearm.”

Tripp was located Tuesday at an East Main Street residence in Sherman. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and arraigned on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.
