Five Charged, Dog Euthanized After Wednesday Drug Busts In Jamestown

Five Jamestown residents face charges and a dog had to be euthanized after simultaneous drug busts at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday on East Sixth and Lafayette streets.

Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force agents executed a search warrant at 307 E. Sixth St., Apt. 2. Three people were found inside the apartment along with 93.8 grams of a fentanyl/heroin mixture, 14.1 grams of crack cocaine, a shotgun, ammunition, metal knuckles, scales, packaging materials and cash. Detectives also found an elderly pit bull dog inside a garage. The dog was in poor health with open wounds to it’s body and malnourished. It was immediately taken to a local veterinarian by police where it was determined that the dog had to be euthanized.

Fermin Rodriguez-Robles, 28, of Jamestown, Fermin Rodriguez-Rivera, 56, of Jamestown; and Montana E. Karash, 19, of Jamestown, were each charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and animal cruelty. They were taken to the Jamestown City Jail to be arraigned before a Jamestown City Court judge.

At the same time agents searched the East Sixth Street apartment, the Jamestown Police Department SWAT team executed a search warrant at 837 Lafayette St. David Rivera-Torres, 31, of Jamestown, and Yackeline Alejandro, 38, of Jamestown were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia after police officers reportedly found fentanyl, packaging materials and scales in the home. They were also taken to the Jamestown City Jail to be arraigned by a City Court Judge.

The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force was assisted by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, Jamestown Police SWAT Team, Jamestown Police Patrol Division, Jamestown Police K-9, Ellicott Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department K-9, Jamestown Fire Department and Chautauqua County Emergency Services.
