Luczkowiak resigns position on Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. board

Natalie Luczkowiak
Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. announced Tuesday afternoon that Natalie Luczkowiak’s resignation from the board of directors was accepted.
That announcement was made on its Facebook page. It was Luczkowiak, who serves as a Dunkirk councilwoman, who took issue with a homeless resident in the city during last week’s meeting. Her comments brought serious criticism from residents and others.
“Please be advised that COI’s Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of public sector representative Natalie Luczkowiak from its membership,” the post said. “COI continues to uphold its mission of helping vulnerable populations out of poverty, including those who are homeless. Our core values emphasize the importance of treating each person with respect and dignity, regardless of their situation. We expect that those in leadership positions within our organization will share values that align with those of COI. We appreciate your patience as this process was carried out.”
Luczkowiak is up for re-election in the city but had no opponent for First Ward.
