Water distribution planned for Monday due to boil order

There were three rounds of water distribution from Wednesday to Thursday in the village.

Two more water distribution rounds will take place Monday in the village of Fredonia due to the ongoing boil-water order that was put in place Tuesday.

That order is expected to run through at least Wednesday of this week.

The drive-through distributions will take place from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fredonia Fire Department at 80 W. Main St. Officials ask those coming to entry via Water Street and Canadaway Street.

Water will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are asked to remain in their vehicles during distribution. Volunteers will load water directly into vehicles to ensure efficiency and safety.

To help make sure resources are distributed fairly, each vehicle will be allowed to pass through the line only once. Any residents in need of additional water are encouraged to contact the Fredonia Fire Department at 716-672-2125 to make alternative arrangements.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue working to address the water situation,” said Joshua Myers (Fredonia Emergency Manger and Fire Chief). “We’re committed to making sure every household has access to clean water while the boil water order remains in effect.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
