Fredonia Residents Charged In Jamestown 7-Eleven Robbery
Two Fredonia residents have been charged after a robbery at the East Second Street 7-Eleven on Sunday.
Johnee C. Thompson, 36, and Kaelyn A. Hayward, 22, both of Fredonia, were charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree conspiracy after officers responded to a reported robbery in progress at 9 a.m. Sunday. According to a police report, officers responding to the scene were told a person passed a note demanding money and then ran away after receiving a quantity of money. Police then found a second person fled in a vehicle and picked up the person who went into the store to demand the money a short distance away. Investigation then led officers to an address in Charlotte.
Jamestown police, with assistance from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and State Police from both Jamestown and Fredonia went to the Charlotte address and charged Thompson and Hayward. The Fredonia residents were taken to the Jamestown City Jail and held until they could be arraigned. They were then released after arraignment to be in court later.
