PVCS teacher, coach facing sexual contact charges with youth
SOUTH DAYTON — A Pine Valley Central School teacher has been charged with allegedly engaging in sexual contact with a juvenile.
On Dec. 3, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Pine Valley School District regarding a teacher employed at their school. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation into allegations against Robert Slisz, 33, of Hamburg. The investigation determined Slisz had allegedly engaged in sexual contact with the victim.
He was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. Slisz turned himself in at the Chautauqua County Jail for central arraignment. He is to answer the charges in the Town of Cherry Creek Court.
Slisz had also served Pine Valley boys basketball head coach and was still listed on the school’s website as a junior and senior high school teacher. In addition, at the November school board meeting he did a presentation regarding a basketball trip to Cleveland.
In the news release, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Investigation Division said it “remains committed to protecting juveniles within the community and ensuring that allegations involving the safety and well-being of minors are thoroughly investigated.”
