Fredonia police have issued a news release regarding social media reports regarding a missing teenager.

For clarification, officers said, the 13-year-old, Matthew Kendall, is listed as a runaway. He was last seen Wednesday running from the Fredonia Middle School by school officials.

The Fredonia Police investigators have been in contact by phone with the minor, and all information regarding the investigation is being shared with the custodial parent.

Any information that can be provided to police regarding the minor’s whereabouts should be provided to the police agency within the jurisdiction it pertains to, police said.
