A runaway teenager was located Friday at a family residence in Jamestown.

Fredonia police made the announcement after issuing a news release regarding the social media reports on the missing individual.

For clarification, officers said, the 13-year-old, Matthew Kendall, was listed as a runaway. He was last seen Wednesday running from the Fredonia Middle School by school officials.

The Fredonia Police investigators were in contact by phone with the minor, and all information regarding the investigation was being shared with the custodial parent.
