Collins man charged in shooting, five-hour standoff
COLLINS --- A Collins man is facing attempted murder charges after a five-hour standoff Tuesday in the town. New York State Police at Collins report the Bureau of Criminal Investigation charged Walter M. Blaze, 57, with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, second-degree assault and three counts of second-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 10:20 a.m., Troopers responded to a possible shooting incident at 3625 Edgewood Drive.
