Bus driver charged in Thruway accident that killed 5

A driver of a bus involved in an August fatal accident on the New York State Thruway has been charged by the New York State Police. On Wednesday, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Violent Felony Warrant in Troop New York City charged Bin Shao, 56 of Flushing Queens, with five felony counts of second-degree manslaughter and five counts of felony criminally negligent homicide. Shao was transported to Genesee County Jail and arraigned on Friday, on a sealed indictment. Celoron man pleads guilty to child porn

A Celoron resident has pleaded guilty to charges involving child pornography. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that 41-year-old Jose Perez pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, and a fine of $250,000. Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J.
