GERRY – One person received a minor injury following an accident involving a private plow truck and an ambulance. Man charged with hate crimes in home invasion

JAMESTOWN – A man has been taken into custody, accused of invading a person’s home based on the victim’s race. According to Jamestown Police, on Friday at about 2:15 p.m., officers from the first platoon responded to an address on the north side of the city for a home invasion. It was reported that a male had entered the home and was attempting to attack the occupants inside the home. Woman injured in Silver Creek car-pedestrian accident

SILVER CREEK --- An adult female was transported to ECMC after a car-pedestrian accident Friday morning. At around 7:56 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded the incident at Main Street and Central Avenue. Boil order lifted for Fredonia water users

The Chautauqua County Health Department, in conjunction with the village of Fredonia has lifted the boil water order for all of its water customers, including those within the town of Pomfret. The issue at the treatment process was corrected Tuesday afternoon and two consecutive days of testing indicate that the water in the distribution system is safe for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, making coffee.
