Fredonia Business faculty co-chair NABET conference

Dr. Lisa Walters

Drs. Linda Hall and Lisa Walters of the School of Business at the State University of New York at Fredonia served as co-chairs of the 2018 Northeastern Association of Business, Economics and Technology Conference, held in State College, Pa.

The conference serves as a platform for the presentation of papers devoted to new research as well as a discussion forum for current issues in business, economics and internet technology.

Papers by the following Fredonia faculty members were presented at the conference:

Dr. Julie Fitzpatrick and Mark Nickerson, “The Finances Surrounding, Starting, Operating and Existing a Small Business – A Pedagogical Case Study.”

Mr. Nickerson and Dr. Hall, “Improving the 1040 Process through the Application of Lean Principles: A Case Study.”

John Olsavsky, “Development of a Periodic Table of Elements for Accounting, Version 5.”

Drs. Walters and Reneta Barneva and Jennifer Cameron, “Building Statistical Understanding through Progressive Coursework and Project-Based Learning.”

The Northeastern Association of Business, Economics and Technology was founded as the Association of Pennsylvania University Business and Economics Faculty by economics professors at the 14 state-owned universities that comprise the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. It was its 41st annual conference.
