Jamestown man facing fraud charges
JAMESTOWN — A Jamestown man is facing insurance fraud charges following an investigation.
On Jan. 11, State Police out of Jamestown arrested Daniel MaGee, 42, of Jamestown, for third-degree insurance fraud and 10 counts of first-degree falsifying business records.
The troopers received a report from the New York State Department of Labor, claiming that MaGee had received unemployment benefits for a period of approximately five months, totaling over $3,000, while being employed. MaGee was processed at State Police Jamestown and released with appearance tickets.
MaGee is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court on a later date to answer the charges.
