MAYVILLE — A warrant for a village resident led to drug charges on Thursday night.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies served an outstanding warrant on Casey S. Monroe, 31. Monroe had an outstanding felony driving while intoxicated warrant. He was found at a residence in Mayville and taken into custody. Monroe was found in possession of quantity of marijuana and suboxone along with a marijuana plant. Monroe was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, growing of the plant known as cannabis without license and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was being held in Chautauqua County Jail until arraignment. The K-9 unit assisted on warrant check.
