Trinity Masterworks choir begins rehearsals Sunday

Trinity Masterworks choir will begin rehearsal for their Spring Concert this Sunday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the nave of Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Day St., Fredonia. The concert is scheduled for April 28 at 7 p.m.

Rehearsals will be held every Sunday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dust off your winter voice and get ready to welcome spring with three works by living American Composers.

Michael John Trotta’s exquisite setting of eight Sara Teasdale poems “For a Breath of Ecstasy” features strings and solo oboe; Shawn Kirchner’s three glorious high-energy Appalachian songs “Heavenly Home” are performed a capella; “The Greatest of These” composed and accompanied by SUNY Fredonia guitar professor James Piorkowski is a touching modern setting of the famous “Love is patient, Love is Kind” text.

Trinity Masterworks Choir welcomes singers of all levels and is comprised of a mix of community members and students from both SUNY Fredonia and area high schools. It was founded in 2016 with a mission of bringing community music-making back to the Fredonia area and presents two concerts each year. We hope you will come and join us in creating music together as a community!
