Accuplacer testing underway for LPN programs

The first step to being enrolled in an LPN program is to apply for and pass an Accuplacer exam. The Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES Workforce Development LPN program is currently scheduling Accuplacer exams at three locations across Chautauqua and Erie counties.

Applicants who pass the Accuplacer Exam can enroll in an LPN program at one of three locations, including the Hewes Educational Center, 2615 Maple Ave., Ashville; New Hope Educational Center, 175 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo; and the Health Careers Academy and Training Center at the LoGuidice Educational Center, 9520 Fredonia-Stockton Road, Fredonia.

The new Health Careers Academy and Training Center, which will offer Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Aide, Home Health Aide, Licensed Practical Nursing, Phlebotomy Technician, Bilingual Medical Transcriptionist and partner trainings in First Aid, CPR and AEDs classes, will enroll its inaugural LPN class this July.

Accuplacer Tests for enrollment in the new evening LPN program at the LoGuidice Educational Center will take place at 5 p.m. on March 20 and March 25 in Room 608 at the LoGuidice Educational Center. Testing at the Hewes and New Hope educational centers will take place every Wednesday in March at 8:30 a.m. Applicants can register by contacting Dawn Brink or Megan Grice Rohlin at 716-664-4866. Twenty dollars in the form of cash or money order and a photo ID are required at the time of the test.
