Carrier Educational Center to hold spaghetti dinner open house

ANGOLA – Prospective students and community members will have the chance to learn more about opportunities offered at the Carrier Educational Center and support two student-based organizations.

The Carrier Educational Center, 8685 Erie Road, Angola, will host its annual Spring Open House and Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, April 10. Spaghetti dinner and theme-basket auction proceeds will benefit SkillsUSA and ProStart.

“This is by far our best fundraiser of the year,” said Olivia Keisic, Carrier Educational Center counselor. “By joining together this fundraiser with our spring open house we’re able to support two worthwhile organizations for our students while showcasing the programming we offer.”

Spring open house will be held from 6-8 p.m. and will include student demonstrations along with meet-and-greets with instructors and college representatives. Spaghetti dinner takeout runs from 3-7 and dine-in from 4-7 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $7 for children under 10 and free for children under the age of three. There is no cost to attend the open house.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. ProStart is a nationwide, two-year high school program that reaches nearly 140,000 students in more than 1,800 high schools across 50 states, Guam and the Department of Defense Education Activity schools in Europe and the Pacific.
