The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and Auxiliary to District Six will hold its 75th annual convention honoring Commander Brenda Serena and Auxiliary President Rosalie Cooper on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

The event will be hosted by Col. John B. Weber VFW Post No. 898, 2909 South Park Avenue, Lackawanna. The Post will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of its charter.

National Officers VFW Sr. Vice Commander-in-Chief William “Doc” Schmitz and National Auxiliary Conductress Jane Reape will install next year’s newly elected officers. State of New York VFW Sr. Vice Commander Thomas Todaro, VFW Quartermaster Dan McMahon, and Department Auxiliary Secretary Deborah Cenni, Conductress Ruth Huber, Guard Gene Shaw and Chief of Staff Christine Leavor will attend. Department Veterans & Family Support Program Chairman Doris Ippolito and Historian/Media Relations Karen Mack will attend in addition to past state and District 6 commanders and auxiliary presidents.

All VFW and VFW Auxiliary members are invited to attend.
