Dunkirk Lighthouse now open

The Dunkirk Lighthouse has activities planned throughout the summer.

The Dunkirk Lighthouse has opened for the season. Hours of operation are Sunday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for June, opening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the months of July and August. Admission tickets to tour the house and tower are $10 per person, $8 for seniors (55 and older), veterans, and students, children under 10 are $3.

The Elk’s Club Flag Day Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 12:30 p.m. The Cub Scouts will be doing the Flag Burning Ceremony.

There will be special events throughout the summer. Sunset Yoga will again be held every Tuesday evening from June to September, weather permitting. Check the Yoga Underground website and Facebook page for times and cost. Shakespeare on the Lake will be held the weeks of July 24-Aug 3. Check the Venture Productions website (venture.productions.com) for tickets and times.

Public Ghost Tours will be held on July 13, Sept. 28, Oct. 19 and 25 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Cost is $30 per person and tickets can be purchased at our website or in the gift shop.

The annual lighthouse festival weekend will be held the weekend of Aug. 17 and 18.
